Dear Andover Families,

Winter is here and I can’t help feeling blessed that we live in such a beautiful region of our country. “Kindness is like snow-It beautifies everything it covers.” ~Khalil Gibran

NYSED has released our annual school report card. Our student achievement continues to supersede our previous years! Our NYSED report card showed that our Andover students scored higher than the state average in the following courses: 3rd grade math, 5th grade math, 6th grade math and 8th grade science. As for our high school students they performed higher than the state average on the following Regents exams: English, Algebra 1, Geometry, Global, Living Environment, Earth Science, Chemistry, and U.S. History (80% of our Regents were above the state average).

We here at Andover CSD have so much to be thankful for… We are so proud of our students, teachers and staff who strive to aim high every day!

Lastly, this year our holiday break is two weeks long! Please remember to read, read, read with your children over break as well as brush up on their math facts.

As always, my door is open, please feel free to stop by with any questions and/or comments.

May the spirit of this holiday season be with you!
