January Character Recognitions (Financial Stability)-Deal or No Deal
On Friday we celebrated our students who have shown character traits that embody our schools mission Financial Stability. We also had some students who were recognized for their academic achievements, and amazing scores in I-Ready!
This month's activity was playing "Deal or No Deal" where some students particiapted in helping to be the case holders, others participated in the crowd by helping the contestant choose to either take the deal, or keep playing, and a few lucky students were chosen to be the contestant, playing to win up to $10.
Our Contestants (and how much they won) were:
Lakin Nevol: Winning $10! When he chose at the last minute to not take his case (#7), and chose to open the last case that was left instead (#15). He had the $6 in his and case 15 had the $10! How Lucky!!
Lydia Rainelli: Winning $5! Taking the deal after a disappointing blow, when the top cases, including the top case of $10 was opened.
Dane Waters: Winning $9! Dane played a fast round, opening cases left and right. When it came down to the last box... he didn't even wait for the banker to call, saying "I'm Keeping my Case." (If he would have switched he would have ended up with $6 instead.)
We hope the students enjoyed this fun filled event, and that you find joy in seeing pictures of the excitement!
