2026-2027 Official Results of the Annual School Budget Vote
We are pleased to announce the official results of the May 19, 2026, Andover Central School District School Budget Vote. All five propositions presented to the voters have been approved.
Proposition 1, concerning the General Budget for the 2026–2027 fiscal year, passed with 105 votes in favor and 25 against, approving a budget not to exceed $12,500,000. Proposition 2, authorizing a $145,000 expenditure from the 2017 Bus Purchase Reserve Fund for a new school bus, passed with 110 votes in favor and 21 against, ensuring no tax levy impact. Similarly, Proposition 3, which allows for the purchase of a passenger vehicle for $75,000 from the same reserve fund, passed with 106 votes in favor and 23 against.
Proposition 4, establishing a new Bus Purchase Reserve Fund with a cap of $1,500,000, was approved with 107 votes in favor and 24 against. Lastly, Proposition 5, which increases funding for the Andover Free Library to $60,000, passed with 86 votes in favor and 45 against.
Additionally, congratulations to Mary J. Nevol and Jessica Hutchison, who have been elected to serve as Board Members for three-year terms starting July 1, 2026. Thank you to all who participated in this important community decision-making process.
